Luther Talks About 2010 Elections
Friends,
In my recent debate in Birmingham with Congressman Artur Davis, a student asked me if I plan to run for office in 2010. Even though it is awfully early and our focus now needs to be on the November elections, that's an
interesting question and one that requires careful deliberation.
Public service is an honor and a privilege and I am encouraged that my name has been among those considered qualified for any of the three top constitutional offices in Alabama - Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General.
Strong ethical leadership in all three offices is critical to Alabama's future. My answer to the student’s question is that I plan to run in 2010 for the office in which I can be of the greatest service to the people of Alabama.
Our family will be prayerfully considering how best to serve and look forward to working with you as we all strive to make a difference in Alabama.
