Personnel from five River Region law enforcement agencies were on hand Wednesday to honor fellow officers for their work the past year.

Central Alabama CrimeStoppers honored men from sheriff's offices and police departments across the tri-county area during an awards luncheon. The five chosen were selected by officials within each agency and awarded plaques during the gathering at Gateway Park Lodge.

Susan Moss, director of Central Alabama CrimeStoppers, said she was glad they could come together as members of the River Region to highlight the work law enforcement personnel perform.
