From David White in The Birmingham News (May 25, 2010):
Five Alabama Republican district attorneys, including those for Shelby and St. Clair counties, today endorsed Luther Strange over incumbent Troy King in the June 1 Republican primary for attorney general.
Four of the five district attorneys said they didn’t believe King was competent.
”I’m saying he’s incompetent in this position,” said Shelby County District Attorney Robby Owens.
St. Clair County District Attorney Richard Minor said, ”I do not believe that the current attorney general is qualified to continue in the duties that the law and the people require.”
